Celebrate Home Care Aide Week & Home Care Month

by Mindy Pillow

Each November, the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) celebrates National Home Care Month to honor home care professionals who provide care and compassion to others while making remarkable differences in the lives of patients and the families they serve. Additionally, NAHC has marked this second full week in November (November 14 - 20) as "Home Care Aide Week" to "celebrate the important contribution that home care aides make in providing personal care services to home care patients." The theme for the 2010 National Home Care Month celebration is "Guaranteeing Health Care Freedom," and the theme for National Home Care Aide Week is "Loving Hands and Compassionate Hearts." To learn more, visit http://www.nahc.org/consumer-information/november-is-home-care-hospice-month/

NAHC is urging everyone to design National Home Care Month campaigns to reach a variety of audiences with your message about the essential role of home care. How is your agency celebrating Home Care Aide Week and Home Care Month?

Kinnser Software would like to take this opportunity to recognize and thank our customers and all home health professionals for their critical role in improving the quality of life for both patients and their families across the nation. Please join us in celebrating home care professionals this month and share your comments here on the Home Health Blog!
